What do U recommend?
 

Hey All, What do you think I should do to seal the deal? It seems like when I get to the end of a tourney for some reason start making moves that I really should think twice before I make them. I'm not sure if I'm getting to anxious to try to get more chips or it's boredom. When the tourney gets down to about 20 players left is when I start making dumb moves. What do you recommend?:confused: :( :confused:

It can be both of those. If you notice your play is getting bad just get up and walk away for a few hands

i recommend u just relax and make moves that u feel is really right .. im no pro but im the best for making the top 2000 ... lmao

I think you just need to have the confidence in your mind that you are completely in control of your actions and/or reactions even at the end of the tourney. You need to keep on playing kind of methodical, not play out of emotion or desperation.:D

slow play and only use premium hands if you have a large enough chip stack. Not good to bluff or raise to much preflop because with 10 players at the table someone has something good.

If you find yourself falling into this mode,sit back for a second and regroup.Remember how you got this deep in the tourney and look at what,if anything, you're doing differently now. Don't forget that it's not a race.You're going into the slowest end of the tourney where the good players aren't going to be giving up the chips too easily.Outside of the blind stealers, any bets will usually have cards of substance to go with them.So choose you hands carefully and don't be in a hurry to be chipleader.That title is most important at the end,though it does make life a little easier getting to the HU part of a tourney.

When in doubt fold.

I used to have that same problem but here lately I've learned that taking chances earlier in the tournament and getting tighter as the game goes on is the best way to go about it. In the last several months I've come back more times then I could tell you in MTT's with as low as 60 with only a few ppl left (under 20) to win or come pretty darn close to winning.

If you find yourself wanting to make a call you know you shouldn't, I'd suggest letting your time run down and seriously think whether or not you should go ahead and play said hand. Those few seconds can make or break you. Good Luck!!

I agree with taking chances early when the blinds are small, however it pays to be selectively aggressive late in the tournament. When the blinds get big, they are easier to steal. Just don't make raises in early position without a big hand. If you have a really big hand under the gun, such as kings or aces, I like to limp. With 8 people left to act, someone is raising. Even if nobody raises, you still won't get a lot of limpers, if any, when the blinds are huge. When you get to the final table or close to the final table, depending on the site and the blind structure, the big blind is usually about 10% of the average stack. This is when the majority of people are in all-in or fold mode. Even making a min raise from the button, just doubling the BB, will usually steal the blinds.
