Cheating: the "Bottom shuffle" tricks

This is a question my poker regulars and I have been kicking around, what is the most common cheat method? And how can you tell? My friend claims that the bottom shuffle, or shuffling cards at the bottom of the deck is the one, since it is the least noticeable. I argue that it may be the cheat that everyone is on the lookout for.
