I was playing at Bodog on 10-17-07 and had about 600 of my 1500 starting chips left. Good cards
were scarce and I needed a hand to make a stand. At seat 8 after the dealer, I got a Qc, 3c
and called the blind of 80. The FLOP came with 2 more clubs. Seat 3 had about 3000, raised 220
and I called with one other caller, 3 players now. The TURN came with another club and seat 3
raised another 220 and I reraised all in with my remaining 300, the 3rd player folded and seat 3 called
my reraise. He showed Ac, 8d and the RIVER came with another club giving him the ace high flush
over my queen high flush. He sucked out on the river with a max 25% chance of getting a club.
I would have called if I were in his chip position too. He won the hand, no big deal, but then he tells
me to "learn how to play." Did I play wrong here or was he just being a door'knob?
I guess I need to get that suck out training then I'll play better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TO tell really how you played we would need to know all the cards. Just not the suits. ANd his comment could be refering to your starting starting hand becasue q3 of clubs is not a great starting hand. Your only chances for anything is the flush. If you hit a queen then you have a weak kicker.
first of all on the turn your a 84% favourite to win, 7 clubs that can come on the river to beat your flush, so he had less than 25% to win the hand. second of all u had less than 10 big blinds and in a tournament that means your in push / fold mode. If ur late position and nobody has open raised then push with any two in hopes that small blind and big blind will fold and you will increase your stack size by more than 10 %. in a tournament you cannot be limping in with Q3 suited even in late position, it is a garbage hand and under most circumstances, unless you have a big read on the opponents, you should not even consider playing this hand. "learn to play" was a bad thing to say but just try to think more about your situation, your chip size, your opponents chip size, how the table sees your image, and play accordingly. best i can offer off the top of my head.
