My girlfriend (peach68) has been invited to play Gavin Smith in a live HeadsUp match for $500 (freeroll courtesy of Fulltilt Poker) at the B.C. Poker Championships!!!
This came as a total shock and surprise yesterday morning. Long story short, she unexpectedly received an email from Fulltilt marketing co-ordinator, telling her that Gavin Smith would be in touch with her sometime soon.
Gavin has now contacted her a few times and mentioned that he'd have a limo come and pick her up from our home to take her to the River Rock Casino to play against him live in a HeadsUp match for $500. When he heard that we live about a 8hr. drive from there, he then wrote back asking if we lived near an airport. YES!!... now she's getting flown out there, limo picking her up at the airport, a room provided for her courtesy of River Rock Casino, and then she gets to play against Gavin for $500! How freak'n cool is that?!?!?! It was a dream of her's to be able to one day maybe play against Gavin on a micro stakes table on Fulltilt cuz she can't afford to play on the tables he plays on. Never did she expect to get an invite to play him in a live HeadsUp match!!! Way cool!
