PowerPoker.com celebrated the launch of it's online casino, PowerVegas.com, by throwing two parties at the Cannes Film Festival. Both events, a pool party and the night event was held on the premises of Casino Palm Beach in Cannes.
PowerPoker and the most prestigious night club in London, Jalouse hosted two parties on Wednesday. Paris Hilton, known to be a gambler and a party princess attended the party of the year with the PowerPoker group. Antonio Esfandiari, Andrew Robl and Keith Gipson from team Victory Poker were among the invited guests who arrived in Cannes to celebrate the launch with PowerPoker and Ziigmund. The World Poker Tour® (WPT) and The Palm Beach Casino have partnered to launch the first ever WPT stop for the United Kingdom: WPT London Poker Classic, sponsored by PartyPoker.com. A super satellite will kick off the series August 29, followed by the £5,000 + £300 Main Event August 30 – September 5, 2010* at The May Fair Hotel, a five star property located in the heart of London’s West End. The Main Event will be filmed for television broadcast.

EasyPlay Poker abruptly stopped operations a little over a month ago. They sent out an e-mail telling everyone only after they closed. You may recall that they switched their non-US players to Cash is King Poker. Well here we go again, apparently.
Cash is King sent this e-mail out to their players a little over an hour ago:
"Important Notice: 22nd April 2010 17:30
It is with deep regret that the Management have to announce the closure of Cash is King Poker with immediate effect. This has been a very hard decision but due to circumstances beyond our control the Poker Room can no longer operate.
Players can email our Finance department, finance@cashiskingpoker.com, with your username and registered email address and withdrawals will be processed manually accordingly.

EasyPlay Poker today moved their non-US players to Cash is King on the iPoker Network. US players will not be moved and must ask Merge for their money. Easy Play alleges that US players have 28 days to get their money. A few US players who tried to log in where instructed could not login.
There was no warning of this move and US and Non-US players should be frustrated by the abruptness and lack of communication prior to it.
The message to non-us players:
Your account details and current balance will be moved to the Cash Is King Poker poker room automatically but it‘s very important you follow these instructions.
IMPORTANT STEPS:
1. The EasyPlay Poker client will be turned off at 18:00 (EST) 11th March
